Carl Bettis lives and writes in Kansas City, Missouri. His works have appeared in such magazines as Thorny Locust and I-70 Review, as well as in the anthologies Chance of a Ghost (Helicon Nine Editions, 2005) and The Whirlybird Anthology of Kansas City Writers (Whirlybird Press, 2012). His publications include the poetry chapbooks (both print and ebook) Look/Don’t Look: Poems of fear and the fantastic, Cthulhu-ku and Power Lines, and the ebook Tennis Without a Net: Rhyme and Rhythm in Free Verse. He is an associate editor for The Same literary magazine, and is on the committee for Riverfront Readings.
